Linn Self - Interim Pastor

Brother Linn Selfl has been the pastor of Mildred Baptist Church since August 2017.
Linn Self served as Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church (now Brighton Park Baptist Church) in Corpus Christi for 10 years from 1970-1980. In 1980 he started a mission church for the First Baptist Church, Portland that became known as Oak Ridge Baptist Church, where he pastored until 1996.
In 1996 Brother Linn became President of The South Texas School of Christian Studies (SCS), serving until his retirement in December 2005. Brother Linn's affiliation and love for SCS began in the late 1970's.
Bro. Linn helped conduct the original feasibility study on Christian education in South Texas after hurricane Celia which led to the establishment of SCS, and Betty (his wife) subsequently became the administrative assistant to the then-President Dr. Ken Bradshaw.
Brother Linn and Betty mentored, counseled and encouraged students, pastors, lay leaders and members of several local churches in South Texas, finally retiring in 2005. The Self's influence and love for South Texans continues in the tradition of SCS and those who are beneficiaries of their ministry.

Wayne joined the staff of Mildred Baptist Church as Minister of Music/Education in November of 2011. He is a graduate (Music Education) of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and the Seminary Extension Division (Christian Education) of the Southern Baptist Convention. He has been involved with churches in central and north Texas serving in the areas of music, youth, and Christian education. He and his wife Cindy have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and four granddaughters. Hobbies are reading, home improvement projects, and spending time with family and friends.

Keith joined the staff as youth pastor in May of 2017. He was raised in Cleburne, Texas where he attended First Baptist Church of Cleburne with his family, it was here that he trusted Jesus as Lord and Savior at a young age. Near the end of his high school years he responded to God’s call on his life to pursue ministry. He then attended Dallas Baptist University in the spring of 2013 to equip him for his work in the ministry where he met his wife Emily.
His interests include studying scripture, playing music with his band, eating at Waffle House, wood-working and playing tennis.
Kathe is married and mother of 2 boys and 4 step-kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. All of which are full grown and married with kids of their own. Kathe and Tom have 16 grand children and 2 great-grand children and three dogs (Chloe, Bubba, and Little Girl).
Kathe started her career working in a bank as a personal banker, lending officer, teller, operations manager, and banking center manager. She left banking after many years to join a company (Hogan Systems) that generates financial applications for large banks; when her company joined with IBM in a joint venture, she left Hogan Systems to join IBM in their International Financial Services Sector working as a system analyst, business consultant, and project manager.
She traveled both nationally and internationally designing, testing, training and implementing the software to many large banks in Europe, South America, and Asia. After 10 years of service to IBM, she retired and met the love of her life and decided to stop traveling.
After moving to Corsicana from Dallas she worked at Kohl's for 2 1/2 years in customer service, and Executive Secretary to the Personnel Manager, Operations Manager, International Partnership Manager, Business Management Officer all at the same time. During that time, she re-dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, was baptized, and her and her husband joined Mildred Baptist Church.
After Kohl's, she wanted to give back to the Corsicana community by volunteering. She currently is the President of the Navarro Regional Hospital Auxilliary, is on the Board of Directors for the Navarro County Humane Society, walks dogs at the Corsicana Animal Shelter, and is the Secretary for Mildred Baptist Church. As for hobbies, the volunteer work and playing with her own dogs mean the most to her.
