"If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work." (2 Timothy 2:21)
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to learn a little more about us. As you look over our site, we hope you get a better picture of what Mildred Baptist Church is all about.
We believe that life is lived to its fullest when it's lived in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and lived in community through a local church. We're excited to be joined together as a church family and would love to have you join us in our journey.
Maybe you're searching for a church home. Or maybe you're searching for answers to life's questions. No matter what your situation, we would love to share with you what God is doing in our lives as individuals and as a church. Heads up! We have announced a Called Business Meeting for this Sunday night (August 26). We will be receiving two recommendations, one from the Pastor Search Committee regarding our MBC website and another from the Nominating Committee with some of the names of people being nominated for places of service in the new church year.
The "Church Year" or "Sunday School Year" begins on September 1, and the "Fiscal Year" or "Budget Year" begins on October 1. We will be hearing from the Budget & Finance Committee some time in September about the 2018-2019 MBC Budget.
Speaking of Sunday night - We had a good turn out and an excellent time last Sunday night as we fellowshipped around finger food and ice cream and kicked off our Sunday night services for the fall. I hope you can put Sunday night Worship/Bible Study on your calendar for this season. I plan to begin a series in Philippians Sunday night.
Philippians is a favorite New Testament letter for a lot of people, because it is so personal. It is almost a love letter from the great apostle Paul to the congregation that seems to have been, in some way, closest to his heart. I promise, spending a few Sunday nights focused on this beautiful section of scripture will bless you. I'm excited about it, but it will be more fun if you're there!
